Team Manager Children's Services

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced manager who is a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Care Wales to take the post of Team Manager in the Cardiff Service Centre. The post is fixed term until 31st December 2021.

The successful candidate will, as a leader in the South Wales Team, manage and shape services within the themes of Sexual Abuse and Neglect, in line with the NSPCC strategy. South Wales currently delivers the Protect and Respect and In Ctl services which are 1:1 assessment and intervention and groupwork. You will be an integral part of the management team and will be responsible for the line management of social workers and non-social work qualified staff, delivering services within neighbouring local authority areas.

The NSPCC are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skillsexperience of supporting and developing staff within the safeguarding field as well as skills, knowledge and passion to drive improved outcomes for Children and Families. Candidates need to demonstrate motivation to improve the quality of the work provided by the team, have experience of delivering supervision that supports good practice that promotes positive values and behaviours and expertise in the field of safeguarding

Please note, this role is for a Team Manager as part of the South Wales Management Team and will be based in our Cardiff Service Centre but will be expected to cover the Swansea Service Centre as required, therefore the ability to travel between sites is critical.
