This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced creative to step into a senior leadership role within the Creative Team on a maternity cover basis. Working across the NSPCC and Childline brands, you'll help shape some of our most important creative work, from campaigns and fundraising appeals to service marketing and brand development.
As Art Director, you'll play a key role in setting the creative direction of projects, developing powerful visual ideas and helping ensure our work is distinctive, effective and audience-focused. You'll work closely with the Head of Creative, senior stakeholders and external partners, influencing how our brands show up across every channel.
What will I be doing as an Art Director?
This is a hands-on creative leadership role with plenty of variety and visibility across the organisation. You'll:
You'll be an established creative with strong experience leading design projects, developing ideas and bringing brands to life across multiple channels. You'll be confident presenting creative work, influencing stakeholders and balancing competing priorities, while maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
We're looking for someone who can think strategically as well as creatively, build strong relationships and help drive the quality and impact of our creative output. Experience of brand development, integrated campaigns and supporting or mentoring colleagues would be particularly valuable.
As an organisation, we are committed to creating and fostering a culture that promotes safeguarding and the welfare of all children and adults at risk. Our safer recruitment practices support this by ensuring that there is a consistent and thorough process of obtaining, collating, analysing and evaluating information from and about candidates to ensure that all persons appointed are suitable to work with our children and adults.
At the NSPCC we are on a journey to becoming a trauma-informed organisation for the children, young people and families that we work with, as well as our staff and volunteers. To be trauma-informed is one of the guiding principles that shape and guide our 2021-2031 Strategy. This means understanding the nature of adversity, trauma, and resilience so that we can work towards reducing and preventing further harm and promoting recovery and healing. Coming to work at the NSPCC will provide the opportunity for you to join us in our commitment to becoming a trauma-informed organisation.
