Are you looking for a role within an organisation where the work you do makes a real difference to children? If the answer it's yes, administrator opportunities could be exactly what you're looking for.

Join a team that is in the frontline in protecting children and young people

At the NSPCC, we believe every childhood is worth fighting for. With over 100 years of experience, and the collective strength of our staff, volunteers, supporters, and partners, we're working to end child abuse and neglect for good.

Our teams in Services are our frontline and the heart of our mission to end child abuse. We work directly with children, families, and communities by preventing child abuse and neglect, keeping children safe, and supporting communities to build positive environments for children and young people.

Whether it's offering expert guidance, delivering life-changing interventions, or empowering communities to create safe, nurturing environments, our Services teams are united by one powerful goal: to keep children safe and help them thrive.

Join us as an administrator to play your part in delivering our services and do something amazing for children across the UK and Channel Islands.

What is the purpose of the administrator role?

You will provide day-to-day administrative support to the Camden based team, helping services run smoothly and safely so colleagues can focus on supporting children and families.

This role plays a vital part in delivering frontline services to keep children and young people safe from abuse. You're role will be to;

  • Provide reception and first point of contact activity
  • Coordinate diaries, meetings and room bookings
  • Support communications within the team, with families and external professionals
  • Undertake health & safety checks

Are you an experienced administrator with the following skills?

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in reception duties including providing detailed messages to colleagues.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and administrative systems
  • Professional, calm and able to manage competing priorities
  • Strong communicator who handles confidential information appropriately
  • Positive team member who uses initiative and works collaboratively
  • Experience of providing administrative support, including minute taking,  preferably within services to children and families
  • Enjoy working as part of a team delivering services to children that support their recovery from trauma

Join us and make a difference. You'll grow, be challenged, and help change young lives for the better.

Safer Recruitment

As an organisation, we are committed to creating and fostering a culture that promotes safeguarding and the welfare of all children and adults at risk. Our safer recruitment practices support this by ensuring that there is a consistent and thorough process of obtaining, collating, analysing and evaluating information from and about candidates to ensure that all persons appointed are suitable to work with our children and adults.

Trauma Informed

At the NSPCC we are on a journey to becoming a trauma-informed organisation for the children, young people and families that we work with, as well as our staff and volunteers. To be trauma-informed is one of the guiding principles that shape and guide our 2021-2031 Strategy. This means understanding the nature of adversity, trauma, and resilience so that we can work towards reducing and preventing further harm and promoting recovery and healing. Coming to work at the NSPCC will provide the opportunity for you to join us in our commitment to becoming a trauma-informed organisation.
