ASSOCIATE HEAD - Child Safety Online

The Child Safety Online Solutions Lab Team works with colleagues across the organisation to ensure frontline practice experience and expertise is embedded in our work and that the voice of our children, parents and professionals is integrated into our work. Together, we'll transform the online world, so it's safe for every child to go online.

 

We are looking for an Associate Head to join our Child Safety Online Solutions Lab to help deliver a key objective in the new 10-year strategy – to transform the online world, so it's safe for every child to go online.

 

As Associate Head – Child Safety Online you will provide leadership for the NSPCC’s work in the area of child safety online, working with colleagues to turn ideas into reality in order to change the support available for adults to keep children safe, and for children to stay safe online. You will be responsible for leading a dedicated, specialised team, ensuring that the NSPCC remains focused on the areas where it is able to make the biggest impact for children.

 

We are looking for someone with considerable frontline practice experience who understands the impact online abuse may have on children and young people, who has:

 

  • Knowledge of current issues, trends and solutions in the child safety online space and how these are applied to practice, with strong commitment to evidence-based practice
  • Strong case management skills or project management skills
  • Experience of managing partnerships and a network of external stakeholders, possessing excellent negotiation and influencing skills to build successful long-term partnerships and bring about new opportunities and change for children

 

This is an opportunity to develop content and resources to help educate and give confidence to parents, carers and those who work with children, to seek new technical innovations to prevent online abuse, and collaborate with key partners to drive our activity in this field.
