Business Support Assistant

Context & Background

The NSPCC's mission is to end cruelty to children. To carry out its charitable work, the NSPCC relies on the fundraising support of people across the UK for 90% of its annual income. Within Fundraising, our aim is to provide maximum resources for the NSPCC and children by working together to create the best possible donor experience by building long-term relationships to create a supporter experience which is different, better and more rewarding than that of supporting any other charity.

The Supporter Services department is a vital part of NSPCC’s Fundraising Operations and is responsible for delivering the service and infrastructure that supports all the NSPCC’s fundraising and income generation.

The busy department has responsibility for dealing with supporter interactions and donations plus supporting the fundraising database. This all needs to be delivered effectively, efficiently and executed flawlessly. This enables us to deliver excellent levels of service to our supporters as well as all internal and external customers.

The NSPCC receives over £80m of donations per year and manages relationships with well over 1.5 million supporters. We are committed to providing sector leading levels of supporter care as well as building long term relationships with all our supporters, by maximising the information that we receive and working in proactive and effective ways.

This role of Business Support Assistant – Donation processing is to work in a busy team responsible for the efficient and timely receipt, processing and thanking of all donations and other supporter contacts received in house.
