Children's Services Practitioner

An opportunity has arisen at the NSPCC Service Centre for an enthusiastic and dynamic social worker to join the team.

The NSPCC Craigavon is currently delivering services within themes of Sexual Abuse. The successful candidate would develop skills and experience working within this theme.

The services we are currently delivering are;

  • Letting the Future In - A Therapeutic Recovery Service for Children and Young People who have experienced Sexual Abuse.
  • Turn The Page - An Assessment and Therapeutic Intervention for Children and Young People where there are concerns regarding Harmful Sexual Behaviours.

These services aims to safeguard children by assessing potential risk and need, and offering therapeutic intervention.

We are looking for;

A practitioner for Turn the Page service,  with the ability to plan and deliver appropriate programmes of work with individuals, families and groups, the ability to identify risk and have experience of child protection intervention as well as up to date knowledge of legislation, research and best practice; and the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of their own practice.

You will have a manageable caseload, appropriate training and development opportunities.

This is your opportunity to contribute to service development not only in terms of direct work but also be able to get involved in evaluation, influencing and dissemination of learning and have the opportunity to be part of a strategic organisation whose aim is to help end cruelty to children.
