Digital Content Editor

Are you a digital editor who can help enhance the NSPCC’s digital presence for our audiences who work or volunteer with children and young people?


We’re excited to offer a permanent role for a Digital Content Editor to support the delivery of safeguarding information and resources on the NSPCC Learning website.


Your role will sit in the NSPCC’s Knowledge and Information Services department, the UK’s leading source of information on child protection and safeguarding. We provide a range of services to help professionals better protect children including:


  • the NSPCC Learning website sharing a range of online resources for anyone working or volunteering with children
  • highly-rated elearning covering a range of safeguarding and child protection topics
  • the only UK library that specialises in safeguarding, child protection, child abuse and neglect
  • a specialist information service answering complex enquiries and providing reading lists on child protection subjects
  • current awareness newsletters (for example nspcc.org.uk/caspar which has a following of over 86,000 subscribers).


About you


We’re looking for someone with:

  • strong skills at writing and editing written content for the web
  • experience of using a content management system (CMS) to create and edit web pages
  • experience of using search engine optimisation (SEO) to optimise content and knowledge of information architecture (IA)
  • knowledge of using social media to deliver and promote products and services
  • preferable experience of working with content written for a specialist or professional audience.


The current requirement for this role would be one day a week in the London office at Weston House.
