Information Specialist

Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is our belief. It drives us. And it motivates us to maintain our position as an influential, informed and forceful voice at every level.

Information Specialist (Library)  28 hours per week - £24,746 - £29,113 plus London allowance (pro rata)

We are seeking a qualified information professional to join the UK’s leading child protection library. This role is suitable for hybrid working with at least two days per week in the office (London) and working from home the remainder of the week.

Our new Information Specialist will focus on collection development, including both print and online materials, cataloguing, and answering complex enquiries and undertaking in-depth literature searches.

We are looking for someone with excellent cataloguing and outstanding customer service skills who can confidently communicate with a wide range of service users by email, over the phone and in person. You will need great attention to detail; be a continuous learner and demonstrate a commitment to keeping children safe.

Join us and you’ll become part of a team that cares about the work they do and the people they work with. You’ll discover opportunities to grow, along with challenges and a shared purpose that’ll bring the best out in you. And you’ll get to find your own way to make a difference that means more, and that impacts millions of young lives.

NSPCC Knowledge and Information Services provide quick and easy access to the latest child protection research, policy and practice. We are responsible for NSPCC Learning, our website for anyone working or volunteering with children, as well as providing a trusted enquiry service and maintaining a unique child protection library collection and catalogue.
