Inspector

London or Birmingham with considerable travel within the UK (other geographical bases may be considered)

 

The NSPCC Inspection Team plays an important role in monitoring the quality of work across the organisation.

 

Working within a team of four Inspectors, under the direction of the Head of Inspection and Internal Audit you will:

  • Undertake a programme of thematic inspections and quality reviews across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland
  • Undertake service inspections: review case files, speak to practitioners, managers, service users and partner agencies and make judgements about inspection findings
  • Write inspection reports
  • Present inspection findings
  • Contribute to inspection practice development and help to shape new inspection methodologies You will need:
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of safeguarding and child protection
  • Experience of driving improvements and a desire to promote best practice
  • Leadership and senior management experience
  • Ability to make sound, evidence based judgements
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels
