NSPCC, Scotland

Service Administrator

35 hours per week

Base: Scotland's National Hub, Elliot Street, Glasgow

Salary, £22,932 - £23,480

Every childhood is worth fighting for.
This belief drives everything we do. It's why the NSPCC's Direct Services team in Scotland go above and beyond to transform the lives of babies, children, and families.

We're excited to announce a new opportunity within Scotland's National Hub. We're looking for a passionate and dynamic Administrator to join our team and help us expand our local service offer. The NSPCC's focus is on early childhood development and supporting children growing up in families facing adversity.

Are you committed to making a difference and want to be part of a team that puts children at the heart of everything? We'd love to hear from you.

What are ourFour Guiding Principles in Scotland?:

  • Community-centric, accessible, and trauma-sensitive approaches
  • Collaborative partnerships
  • Sustainability and innovation
  • Continuous learning and evidence-based practice

What will your role look like?

Working in partnership with local people, groups, and agencies, we aim to co-create and test new approaches rooted in relationships—with babies, children, families, and communities. Our work is grounded in inclusivity, accessibility, and a commitment to sustainable change through local ownership and capacity building.

Are you a proactive and highly organised Service Administrator keen to join our Direct Services in Scotland? This role is key to ensuring smooth operations across the team by providing high-quality administrative support to senior managers, including diary management, travel arrangements, meeting coordination, and project assistance.

You'll be a confident communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, have a strong commitment to customer care and service excellence. You'll help improve systems and processes, manage sensitive information with discretion, and build strong working relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders.

Are you passionate about making a difference, enjoy problem-solving, and have a flexible, can-do attitude? We'd love you to apply and be part of our team.

Join us and be part of a team that cares deeply about the work we do and the people we support. You'll find opportunities to grow, challenges to rise to, and a shared purpose that brings out your best. Most importantly, you'll find your own way to make a difference—one that truly matters.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and adults at risk. Our safer recruitment practices ensure a consistent and thorough process to assess the suitability of candidates to work with children and vulnerable adults.

#LI-RW1

We have a number of employees at the NSPCC who are regrettably at risk of redundancy, following a significant restructure. In keeping with our values and our policies, if any of these individuals apply for a role and meet the minimum essential criteria, they will be given priority consideration. We hope that you understand our position on this and that this will not discourage you from applying. We cannot predict who, internally, will apply for a role, or whether they will meet the minimum essential criteria. Where no at risk candidates meet the minimum essential criteria, all applications will be considered as normal.

Safer Recruitment

As an organisation, we are committed to creating and fostering a culture that promotes safeguarding and the welfare of all children and adults at risk. Our safer recruitment practices support this by ensuring that there is a consistent and thorough process of obtaining, collating, analysing and evaluating information from and about candidates to ensure that all persons appointed are suitable to work with our children and adults.

Trauma Informed

At the NSPCC we are on a journey to becoming a trauma-informed organisation for the children, young people and families that we work with, as well as our staff and volunteers. To be trauma-informed is one of the guiding principles that shape and guide our 2021-2031 Strategy. This means understanding the nature of adversity, trauma, and resilience so that we can work towards reducing and preventing further harm and promoting recovery and healing. Coming to work at the NSPCC will provide the opportunity for you to join us in our commitment to becoming a trauma-informed organisation.
