Warehouse Operations Project Manager

Are you looking for a role within an organisation where the work you do makes a real difference to people’s lives? Are you looking to develop your fundraising experience with a sector-leading team? If the answer is yes then our Warehouse Operations Project Manager could be for you.

Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is our belief. We all share it. And it drives our Fundraising team to get out there and bring in the funds we need to protect children and prevent abuse. Join us as the Warehouse Operations Manager and get more people involved in change that means everything.

The focus of the NSPCC Fundraising Strategy is the creation of the best supporter experience; to retain supporters, to increase our supporter network and to motivate the public to engage with the NSPCC cause and take action to protect children.

The Fundraising department plays a vital part in the NSPCC’s supporter experience. The department aims to bring the supporter to the heart of everything we do whilst championing and delivering the highest standards of supporter service and experience.
Warehouse suppliers are used by Fundraising to hold stock for the NSPCC’s growing ecommerce store as well as for events, corporate partners and local fundraising groups. This is a key new role in ensuring that the charity is providing an excellent cost-efficient service to our internal and external stakeholders.

NSPCC retail, eventing and fundraising stock is currently held across multiple locations and the management of our key suppliers sits across six different teams. The objective of this 18-month role is to assess the full landscape of fulfilment across the Income Generation Directorate. They will be responsible for an audit of +our stock management and fulfilment approach and suppliers, to then make recommendations for a future approach that could help us save funds. This role may be made permanent to oversee transfer into that approach should a single warehouse manager be part of that recommendation.

Specifically, the person in this role will contribute as follows:

  • Review the effectiveness of stock management and fulfilment across multiple locations, recommending a solution to assist the constantly changing requirements of fundraising.
  • Ensure the delivery of bespoke, technical, documentable and deliverable solutions in a timely manner to support the warehouse needs of fundraising.
  • Maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of warehousing operations across all locations, developing an integrated approach to ensure suitable stock levels for all business needs for all stakeholders.
