Abuse changes childhoods, but so could you.

  • Are you looking for a role in an organisation where the work you do makes a real difference to people's lives?
  • Are you looking to develop your fundraising and events experience in a sector leading team?

If the answer is yes, then the Events Fundraiser role could be for you.

At the NSPCC, we believe every childhood is worth fighting for. With over 100 years of experience, and the collective strength of our staff, volunteers, supporters, and partners, we're working to end child abuse and neglect for good.

Over 90 percent of the NSPCC's income comes from voluntary donations, so we reply on the incredible generosity and commitment of all our supporters, large and small.

Join the Engagement & Fundraising directorate to make the difference.

  • Do you have excellent organisational skills, a strong eye for detail, creative flair, and excellent communication skills?
  • Are you great at working collaboratively with colleagues and managing your workload to meet competing deadlines?

If so, we want to hear from you.

We are seeking a reliable and efficient professional to deliver a portfolio of engagement and stewardship events that attract and motivate our high value supporters.

Through your work, you will be giving donors the opportunity to understand what the NSPCC does and the difference their support makes. And by doing that, you will ensure they support the organisation financially and through their spheres of influence.

Creative, with excellent organisation and stakeholder management skills, you will bring strong experience of working under your own initiative to manage a programme of events.

What will I be doing as Events Fundraiser?

  • You will manage and deliver our engagement and stewardship events programme
  • You will source unique venues, interesting speakers and shape informative and inspirational content for our attendees
  • You will work with colleagues across the organisation to shape our content and inform our donors about the vital services we provide

What skills do I need?

  • A background in event management is essential
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including with senior leadership
  • Experience of high value fundraising is desirable

Why join the NSPCC?

Any one of our people will tell you that a huge reward in itself is making a difference to children's lives. But we know it's a competitive world, and it's important to feel valued in your role and receive more practical, tangible benefits. We offer salaries that are at least comparable with the top charities in the UK, as well as these benefits.

  • Generous annual leave - 29 days per annum plus bank holidays for full-time employees (pro-rata for part-time). 32 days per annum after five years' continuous service.
  • Employee discounts - Our discounts portal gives you online access to over 3,000 discounts and offers.
  • The Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) - an independent, free, personal support service. It can provide information, support and advice to support your health and wellbeing.
  • Pension - building up a good pension is something we want to help you achieve with our flexible, tax-efficient pension schemes.
  • Life assurance scheme - All employees will be given life assurance of one times their salary, unless they join the NSPCC Group Personal Pension Scheme, where members are given life assurance of five times their salary.

Trauma Informed

At the NSPCC we are on a journey to becoming a trauma-informed organisation for the children, young people and families that we work with, as well as our staff and volunteers. To be trauma-informed is one of the guiding principles that shape and guide our 2021-2031 Strategy. This means understanding the nature of adversity, trauma, and resilience so that we can work towards reducing and preventing further harm and promoting recovery and healing. Coming to work at the NSPCC will provide the opportunity for you to join us in our commitment to becoming a trauma-informed organisation.
