“The NSPCC is incredible in so many ways. It's challenging, it's inspiring and it has many opportunities to make an impact for children. I'm very proud to be a part of Income Generation Team at NSPCC.”
You’ll be making a big difference - Our Income Generation Directorate plays a crucial role in the NSPCC's mission to end cruelty to children. We raise funds and inspire long-term relationships between supporters of all kinds and our cause.
Over 90 percent of the NSPCC’s income comes from voluntary donations, so we’re reliant on the generosity and commitment of all our supporters, large and small. You’ll work in one of many teams across the UK, which focus on engaging them and ensuring they continue to give their support and money generously - and that we make it as easy as possible for them to do so. Discover where you could join them.
You’ll join a wider team of around 250 people.
This refers to qualities that help you communicate with and work well with others, including listening actively, understanding the needs of others, managing your emotions and interpreting non-verbal communication such as body language.
Having initiative means that you can take action independently without having to be told what to do. A person that shows initiative has the confidence to be the first person to respond to a potential opportunity or crisis rather than relying on others to assume responsibility.
Having drive and determination indicates that you are goal-oriented and willing to invest a lot of effort into your work to accomplish your objectives and overcome challenges. Candidates who possess this quality tend to enjoy their jobs and contribute to a productive and positive environment by showing passion and dedication for their work.
Teamwork skills have to do with your ability to work with others in a team. This includes how you handle tasks such as collaboration, resolving group conflicts and sharing responsibilities. Working harmoniously in a team environment is an essential skill as almost every job involves working with other people to achieve common goals and objectives.
Working under pressure means that you can remain calm and carry out your tasks efficiently during high-pressure situations. For instance, when expectations change or things don't go according to plan. In many types of roles, you may experience demanding situations at work where you have to make quick decisions and remain focused while carrying out your tasks to a high standard.
Being flexible refers to your ability to effectively adapt to change when needed. Flexibility is important because industries and roles are constantly changing due to factors such as new technology, competition, and changing customer expectations.
